Welcome

ASAD are resuming Sunday sessions at the Arena (2pm to 4pm) from the 1st October 2023.

Arun Sports Association for the Disabled (ASAD) offers a variety of sports for people with disabilities in the Arun District, Chichester, Littlehampton and surrounding areas. We support people with learning, physical, visual, communication and hearing impairments from the age of 9, and aim to provide sports activities with a social aspect as well as training and coaching opportunities.

Sport can be an extremely fulfilling activity that not only improves your fitness levels and make everyday activities easier, it can also help build confidence, leadership, teamwork, improve communication and, just as important as any of these points, it can be fun!

We meet alternate Wednesday mornings (April to September) at Arundel Bowling Club, every Friday evening at the Arun District Indoor Bowling Club in Nyewood Lane Bognor Regis, and every Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm at the Arena Sports Centre where we offer a variety of sports.

In addition to our weekly sports sessions, ASAD members take part in the annual District 1250 Rotary Sports Day at the K2 Centre in Crawley, where competitors from approximately 12 Clubs in the South of England compete against each other in various sports.

We would love to increase our membership, and an invitation is extended all persons who have a disability to join us in our weekly programme of sporting activities.

We would also like to recruit more voluntary helpers to assist with the running of the activities. If you enjoy participating in the sports we currently offer, or are skilled in a new sport that you could introduce to our members, then please contact us. All our volunteers are CRB checked.
