PLEASE NOTE. Currently we are unable to offer archery at The Arena but we are working to resolve this.

Archery is defined as the art or practice of propelling arrows with the use of a bow, from Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat, while in modern times its main use is that of a recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically known as an "archer".

At ASAD we use fiberglass bows (we have a range of draw weights), and aluminium arrows. The arrows are fletched with 3 fletches although 4 fletched arrows are available for visually impaired archers or others who might benefit.

The archers wear an arm guard to keep clothing out of the way, and a finger tab to aid a ‘clean’ release.

Archery takes place indoors at The Arena every other Sunday. Groups of up to 8 archers can shoot each time and a fun competition is run once a year.

The archery is run by an experienced GNAS/ArcheryGB Leader and supervised by qualified GNAS/ArcheryGB coaches.
